Newsletter Edition – Summer 2015

With the arrival of the sunshine, it feels like a good time to put together a summer round up of MF Communications’ news. The team have been busy as ever and there’s been lots going on, signalling exciting times for the growth and development of the business.

Staff Changes

Adam Parker transferred from the engineering team to the sales team as International Account Manager. Adam brings to his role a wealth of telecoms engineering experience, particularly in Gamma and Broadsoft Hosted Telephony solutions, HiPath 3000 and Openscape Office and NEC SV81000 and NEC SL1100.

In March, we also welcomed new member of staff, Jon Purvis. Jon is a senior engineer and joins the team as manager of the engineering department. His aim is to grow the managed services and maintenance side of the business and expand the engineering team.

Future Growth and Acquisitions

Future growth will also look towards strategic acquisitions of small to mid-level telecoms companies that will add value to the business telecoms solutions arm of the company. In particular, we are looking at strategic acquisitions in the UK telecoms market, ideally companies offering business telecoms’ solutions such as system maintenance, data, mobile and voice connections. The aim is to retain and grow the existing customer base, to maximise the value of the acquisition for both the seller and the customer.

Hardware Supply for Existing Customers

MF Communications is due to recover and asset-manage the European hardware network of a multi-national fashion retailer. As well realising the network hardware assets of the organisation, it will allow us to continue to support existing networked services clients with Siemens and Cisco equipment.
Continuing its recent success in large recovery contracts, MF Communications has just completed the de-installation and recovery of a 49 site Siemens Hipath 4000 network. There is another large contract announcement due soon, this time for a 279 site network of Ericsson MXONE, MD110 and BusinessPhone systems, so watch this space!

Whilst recovering value that can be used on the new deployment for our clients, this gives us an enormous amount of hardware to support our global client base of service providers and end-users for these vendors.

Siemens Unify recently notified us of the phase out of their Gigaset S4 professional V1 and Gigaset S400 professional. The succeeding model will be the OpenScape DECT Phone S5.

Some key features of the new version include:

  • Corporate design: integrated (e.g. colors, Harmonized ringer tone and brand)
  • Phonebook and handset menus with various language options, including Latin (standard), Cyrillic, Turkish, Arabic and Greek
