The DX500 Series is certified to the UL913 intrinsically safe standard and provides exceptional performance. This commercial-grade portable device delivers unparalleled audio volume and clarity.
The user-friendly controls, crafted for use with gloved hands, are complemented by a high-contrast OLED display that remains easy to read even in low-light situations. The compact and extremely durable DX500 offers a more natural sound with 3 watts of digital audio, producing clearer and louder output than radios that are twice their size.
For additional reassurance, the DX500 Series boasts a leading IP68 submersible rating of 2 meters for 4 hours, enabling it to withstand the harsh conditions encountered at sea. Motorola compatible TDMA Two-Slot Direct Mode (also known as ‘Two Slot Simplex’) – The DMR Digital standard divides a single 12.5Khz analogue channel into two distinct channels, effectively doubling the number of channels accessible to the radio user. Typically, Two-Slot operation is only feasible when a DMR Repeater is part of the system. However, Entel DMR radios bypass this limitation on both Simplex and DMR446 channels, ensuring that both channels (slots) are consistently available to the user, regardless of the channel type.
Multiple receive groups – This feature allows you to monitor two or more groups simultaneously; for instance, a manager may need to oversee both the cleaning and maintenance teams they supervise.
Talker Alias – Most radios necessitate an updated contact list, similar to your phone, to identify who is calling or speaking. With Entel’s Talker Alias feature, the radio’s alias is transmitted as text to the receiving radio(s), ensuring it is consistently displayed (eliminating the need to reprogram each radio’s contact list whenever new radios are added to the system).
Lone-Worker Alarm – Entel’s Lone-Worker alarm is specifically designed to safeguard lone workers. The radio’s Lone-Worker timer verifies that the user is safe; if no response is received, the radio will automatically initiate an alarm call to other radio(s). Additionally, the local alarm alerts non-radio users nearby to the emergency. In the event that someone falls and becomes unconscious, the optional Man-Down sensor can automatically trigger an alarm. On receiving display models, the radio’s unique ID/Alias is also shown.
Man-Down Alarm – Entel’s Man-Down alarm is similarly intended to protect lone workers. If an individual falls and loses consciousness, the Man-Down sensor will automatically send an alarm call to other radio(s). The local alarm also notifies non-radio users in the vicinity of the emergency. On receiving display models, the radio’s unique ID/Alias is displayed as well.
Emergency button – By pressing the emergency button, the radio will immediately send an alarm call to other radio(s) and activate a local alarm. On receiving display models, the radio’s unique ID/Alias is also shown.
Group Calling – This is the most widely used method of two-way radio communication, allowing you to promptly address two or more radios simultaneously. One or more groups can be programmed into your radios, facilitating multiple user groups.
Individual Calling – As the name implies, this feature allows you to engage in a one-on-one call where only you and the individual you are calling participate in the discussion. You can either dial the radio and wait for the recipient to respond or initiate an instant call without prior ringing.
Programmable buttons – To ensure that your Entel radio is tailored to your specific requirements, its buttons can be customized with the precise functionalities you desire.
Gold plated accessory connector – The radio’s multi-pin interface and Micro-USB socket are both designed to be submersible and gold-plated, minimizing the risk of damage and providing protection against corrosion.
Locking accessory connector – All Entel accessories feature a sturdy locking connector, and the radio’s accessory socket has been specifically engineered so that when an accessory is attached to the portable device, the connection can endure significant stress, including drops and careless handling.
