Description

The Entel DX585-IS 400-470MHz 4W DMR/Analogue, non EU version (DX585-IS) is in stock.

The Entel DX585-IS Two-Way Radio is designed to fulfill the requirements of demanding marine environments. The DX500 Series is certified to the UL913 intrinsically safe standard and provides exceptional performance. This commercial-grade portable device offers unparalleled audio volume and clarity.

The compact and highly durable DX500 delivers a more natural sound with 3 watts of digital audio, which is clearer and louder than radios that are twice their size.

For additional reassurance, the DX500 Series boasts a leading IP68 submersible rating of 2 meters for 4 hours, enabling it to withstand the challenging conditions encountered at sea. We have developed a range of certified and approved audio accessories for the DX500 Series, including remote speaker microphones, bone conductive skull mics, and ear defender headsets.

Intrinsically Safe Certified to UL913 by SGS:

ANSI/UL913 5th Ed
Class I, II, III, Division 1, Groups C-G, T4

The Entel DX585-IS Two-Way Radio Features:

Environmental protection – IP68 (2 Meters for 4 hours) Entel’s radios are certified with an IP68 rating (2 Meters for 4 hours), indicating that they are protected against dust and are fully submersible, even when the accessory cover is removed.

MILSTD 810C/D/E/F – Complying with MIL-STD 810C/D/E/F, Entel’s radios are built with commercial-grade construction to ensure robust and reliable performance. These radios meet rigorous standards, allowing them to endure the daily challenges of shock, vibration, and the damaging effects of dust and moisture, guaranteeing many years of hassle-free operation.

Multiple channel Zones – Entel’s radios feature support for 8 channel zones, accommodating up to 99 channels per zone. These zones can be utilized to organize channels for various locations, user groups, and more.

Outstanding Audio – Entel’s radios deliver exceptional performance, boasting an impressive 3 watts of natural-sounding digital audio, significantly surpassing the output of radios that are nearly twice their size.

Li-ion battery technology & improved talk time – Entel’s radios come equipped with the latest high-capacity, intelligent Lithium-ion battery technology as standard. A key benefit of Lithium-ion technology is its elimination of the ‘memory effect’, which means there is no requirement to completely discharge the battery before recharging. Consequently, you can expect a full charge every time you remove your Entel battery from its charger.

Motorola compatible TDMA Two-Slot Direct Mode (also known as ‘Two Slot Simplex’) – The DMR Digital standard divides a single 12.5Khz analogue channel into two distinct channels, effectively doubling the number of channels accessible to the radio user. Typically, Two-Slot operation is only feasible when a DMR Repeater is part of the system. However, Entel DMR radios bypass this limitation on both Simplex and DMR446 channels, ensuring that both channels (slots) are consistently available to the user, regardless of the channel type.

Multiple receive groups – This feature allows you to oversee two or more groups; for instance, a manager may need to supervise both the cleaning and maintenance teams they are responsible for.

Talker Alias – Most radios necessitate an updated contact list, similar to your phone, to show who is calling or speaking. With Entel’s Talker Alias feature, the radio’s alias is transmitted as text to the receiving radio(s), ensuring it is always visible without the need to reprogram each radio’s contact list whenever new radios are added to the system.

Lone-Worker Alarm – The Lone-Worker alarm from Entel is specifically designed to safeguard individuals working alone. The radio’s Lone-Worker timer verifies that the user is safe; if there is no response, the radio will automatically send an alarm call to other radio(s). Additionally, the local alarm alerts non-radio users nearby about the emergency. If an individual falls and becomes unconscious, the optional Man-Down sensor can automatically trigger an alarm. On receiving display models, the radio’s unique ID/Alias is also shown.

Man-Down Alarm – Entel’s Man-Down alarm is similarly intended to protect lone workers. If someone falls and loses consciousness, the Man-Down sensor will automatically send an alarm call to other radio(s). The local alarm also notifies non-radio users in the vicinity of the emergency. On receiving display models, the radio’s unique ID/Alias is displayed as well.

AES 256 bit Encryption – This feature is available as a licensed option. Entel radios support this highest level of encryption, which must be ordered concurrently with the radio(s).

IP Site Roaming – This feature offers extensive area coverage by allowing seamless roaming between multiple DMR repeaters.

Emergency button – By pressing the emergency button, the radio will immediately send an alarm call to other radio(s) and activate a local alarm. On receiving display models, the radio’s unique ID/Alias is also displayed.

Group Calling – This is the most widely used method of two-way radio communication, enabling you to instantly address two or more radios simultaneously. One or more groups can be contacted at once.

Individual Calling – As the name implies, this feature allows you to engage in a one-on-one call where only you and the individual you are calling participate in the conversation. You can either dial the radio and wait for the recipient to respond or initiate an instant call without prior ringing.

Caller ID – Similar to a mobile phone, this feature displays the radio’s number or alias, such as ‘Bob’, ‘Security Hut’, ‘Reception’, etc.

Programmable display UI – Entel’s radios offer three programmable display UI options: Basic, Simple, and Advanced, ranging from a straightforward, easy-to-read interface to a fully detailed display.

Programmable buttons – To ensure that your Entel radio is tailored to your specific requirements, its buttons can be programmed with the precise features you need.

Gold plated accessory connector – The radios’ multi-pin interface and Micro-USB socket are both designed to be submersible and gold-plated, minimizing the risk of damage and protecting against corrosion.

Locking accessory connector – All Entel accessories feature a sturdy locking connector, and the radio’s accessory socket is specifically engineered so that when an accessory is attached to the portable unit, the connection can endure significant stress, from drops to careless handling.

Accessory audio tailoring – Entel’s radios automatically recognize the connected accessory and adjust their settings accordingly, ensuring the delivery of the most natural and intelligible audio possible, even when using bone-conductive accessories and breathing apparatus communication kits.

High contrast white on black OLED display – Entel’s radios are equipped with a high contrast white on black OLED display that enhances readability under various lighting conditions, contributing to the radios’ user-friendly interface.

End user programmer – Entel enhances and adds features to its DX radios through complimentary software updates. With the innovative End User Programmer app, Entel DX radios can be upgraded effortlessly without requiring the Dealer to visit the site or send the radios back and forth, thus saving considerable time and costs.

Text messaging – Utilizing the industry-standard DMR messaging protocol, Entel’s radios can send and receive text messages to and from various devices, including but not limited to alarm panels, PC dispatchers, and other radios.

Programmable switch on logo – To add a personal touch, it is possible to upload a customer’s own logo to Entel display radios, which will be shown during the radio’s boot-up process.

All call – This feature allows for the simultaneous calling of all radios on the channel. It is particularly beneficial for making significant announcements, such as emergency safety evacuation calls.

Memory scan – This function enables the user of the radios to create or modify their own channel scan list.
